How does your recycling process work? Our complete process - from start to finish - is described on our Collection & Recycling Process page. Although many projects are unique, most follow the steps described here.
What do you do with obsolete equipment? Prior to physical destruction, Assured oversees the demanufacturing and data destruction process. Equipment then is recycled utilizing an ISO-certfied recycling process that keeps 95-98% of the materials out of landfills. This step is completed by a certified third-party electronics recycler. No obsolete equipment is exported outside of the US.
Do you accept drop-offs at your facility? No, not at this time. However, we can arrange convenient onsite pick-ups of your materials at any time convenient for you. This includes nights and weekends. Email or call us at (919) 215-3165 for your request.
What type of compliance regulations are there with data and information? There are several important Federally-mandated compliance regulations for the management of data in the US. Our Regulatory Compliance Summary provides the latest information.
What is DoD compliant hard drive erasure? 'DoD' signifies the Department of Defense 5220.22-M data destruction standard. Adhering to this standard ensures all information on a digital storage device is completely overwritten and unrecoverable. Formatting tools use an 8-step process to achieve this.
How does Assured ITD's services limit my liability? Assured assumes the title to your equipment once it's taken into our possession. However, because data confidentiality can never be transferred, our specifically-scripted professional liability insurance offers organizations recourse should a client experience a financial claim resulting from data confidentiality negligence or breach on our behalf.
Do you pickup on weekends? Yes. We understand that businesses are unique and may prefer weekend pickups and processing. Assured provides Saturday pickups by appointment only.
Do you serve individual consumers? Yes. Assured ITD provides individual consumers with the same services as our commercial customers, just with lower pricing. This includes weekend pickups. Use The Recyclimator for a instant price quote.
What types of payments to do accept? We accept all major credit cards, cash and corporate checks. If your organization requires a PO, invoicing is also available. Most transactions are completed onsite prior to departure.
